exactly, or PERMISSION from the lot to allow people to loiter in the lot for a "car show"

if there is no permission, it is just another stupid event like the huge FAIL event in pleasanton when they brought in barricades and tow trucks

Just cause you pay for the lot does not give you right to loiter in it.

It's the truth though. Look at what happened to Stoneridge last time.

What if we were all gonna go shopping and then hang out after?

well just keep those opinions to yourself. keep scaring ppl and no one will end up showing and ruin it for ppl actually looking forward to it. if u are afraid of the cops for whatever reason, just don't go. it's that simple. i am not afraid of any cops barricading anything if that happens then o well just leave. what else can they do try and give me a ticket?

Some people just feel the need to rain on other people's parades, they don't always have better things to do XD

Take it from me... even with permits it's not always a cake walk. This event has just come off sketchy to me from the get go. I don't know these people. I don't see any proof of history. I don't like anything that says... biggest... whatever in the event title. It's simple not true. It's misleading. Anyone can put on a meet. But when you're trying to go big there is a LOT that goes in to it.

I'm not trying to rain on any parades. I've been a huge supporter of our local meets for damn near 10 years and of our larger ones. BAM/Hammy and Subiefest. I personally won't be anywhere near this one as a proper event at treasure island or anywhere in S.F. is not cheap to put on.

But good luck. Let us know how it goes. Post photos.

They're not opinions, they're facts. Not trying to scare anyone, just trying to inform. If you do X, Y can happen. It's happened in the past, it will happen again.

And I don't think you understand, if the lot gets barricaded, YOU CAN'T LEAVE. The police will cite you for loitering. They will cite people for illegal modifications and can/will impound cars. If you try to leave, they will arrest you. If you walk away, don't expect your car to be there when you get back.

That kind of risk is not worth it.
