Question STi Question: removing rear seats and trunk area

Qustion about STi owners (might be dumb but here goes)....

I currently own a Wagon and wouldn't mind getting an STI - I rarely take more than one passager with me, so i don't really need rear seats, BUT the activities I do really requires me to have a large cargo area. So my question...

if I was to get an STi - how feasible/hard would it be to remove the rear seats and expand the trunk area. I was thinking of them leveling and/or carpeting the back.

can you even do that?

thanks.

I know in the wrx its pretty east to take out the seats. Behind the back part of the seat is some thick runnery stuff that shouldnt be too hard to remove either. The hardest part would probably be fabricating the new carpeting. good luck

2 bolts to remove the rear bottom cushion. 3 bolts to remove the rear back cushion. Behind that are 2 vertical bars with I think 2 bolts each. Behind that is a plastic cosmetic piece and I do not know how that is attached. Once you get rid of that, you have a full pass through between the trunk and back seat.
