the 92 legacy noise. while driving try pushing on the mirror gusset lip push in and forward if noise changes then roll down window and pull inward on the top of gusset and bottom of mirror Dont get carried away only need to bend gusset 1/8-1/4 of an inch this should help
the 03 legacy with the noise try squeezing the mirror gusset together with the window down gap should be less than 3mm try this

No itea what a gusset is but try this
Since the windows are "frameless" try opening the door, rolling down the window and roll it back up before closing the door. The other thing you might want to try is washing the entire door seal, front side and back around the entire periphery of the door and then using a high quality silicone seal/spray on the external and internal rubber surfaces. Sometimes the rubber gets dirty and then dry and doesn't provide the "contact" seal that you need to keep the wind out.

There's some info on the "other" board IIRC. The info may not be directly related to the Legacy, but with all Subarus being frameless, it should still apply.
