Hey everyone, my legacy L 03 has always had some kind of ticking like noise in the engine when going slow. My friend who has a 03 baja said that she had the same thing and had her pistons replaced or fixed or something in that nature. I'm not a car guru or anything like that, but I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this problem before and if this is the solution....thanks!!!

 

Subaru engines tend to 'tick' like that more than other cars. On other vehicles, it may be indicative of a problem, but not really on a Subaru. I don't think its an issue, but you could always go to your dealer to have them check it out.

 

I see...Well I guess I will just tell them about the noise and see what happens....

i would just change all the fluids out man and maybe check the air filter....if it doesn't help then maybe you might have a problem but if it's not loud then I really wouldn't worry too much but I would still get it checked out.
