Smile Help Please: 05 STI Illumination Mod.

Hi, I have been trying to log onto the NASIOC forum for days with not much luck. I saw a mod to change the illumination on the heater controls on a 05 STI from green to amber to match the cluster. If any member has another DIY link I would really appreciate it.

There's a sticky at the top of this forum on interior lighting. It was written for earlier models but may apply to an '05.

The earlier models use globes and later ones use flat panel led's.

i am also currently trying to find out how to change the light from green to red or amber. If you search in this forum, you'll find the instructions. It requires painting those flat panel led's to red, and then adding an auxillary (seperate additional) LED to make it brigher. This is because the painted flat panel ones aren't bright enough as it is. I'm currently searching for direct replacement bulbs for those three flat panel ones. Have you taken those bulbs out yet? and if so, what size are those?

Which part is '05 STi-specific? I think no one over there has documented the lighting mod yet, either...
