Defi meter illumination dimmer
I've just installed a Defi boost meter. I'm having problem with the meter illumination dimmer. The meter dimmer is reversed from the dashboard. When I turn the dimmer to max, the guage illumination will turn off. When I turn the dimmer to min, the guage illumination will be at max. Does anyone know how to correct this problem? Any help would be great! Many thanks!

I had the same thing on my boost gauge also. What I did was just tap a wire on the radio which would just send out a constant 12volt when you turned the lights on. So basically I have it set so that when I turn the lights on, the gauge is on full brightness.
The best place to tap for the gauge would be from the clock at the center of the dash because that has the four wires you are looking for.

Thanks for the reply. That is basically how I have it now, but I would like to make it to work with the dash dimmer switch.
Are any of you electrical engineer? I've been trying to find some kind of IC or OP-AMP to fix this problem, but it's been unsuccessful so far.
