Parts ordered. Got the ford running again so thats down low in priority list now and I have more room in garage. Gonna make sure turbo was getting oil here soon. Thanks for input and almost getting me into a 16g-xt

why post your misfortune if you don't follow the advice of those that have been in the suby game for years. no wonder you catch so much poooo when you post. not even going to repeat what those have said above, but as usual +1,000,000 what Justin said.

When I buy parts I usually look at the $ over time delta when choosing them. If I will replace cheap part x 2 times during the same time period that expensive part y will last, expensive part y always wins.

I understand that your situation made this not possible, but it has worked well for me ever since I adpoted this mindset so give it some thought. It's always something you can work for down the road, use the vf39 until you have enough for the upgrade!

Enjoy the second opinions. I was so frustrated at the time that a 16g-xt was not on my plate of options. I took that advice and looked for a used one, crunched the numbers for a new one and even considered that one from the wagon part out(HTA Sunthin or other). Just couldn't swing it so its def a future mod. Waiting and savings is not working with having to juggle cars and not having a set work schedule(shift work so every week is different) I had to get my car rolling. Flaming is beneficial in a way and I fully expect it whenever posting on here. Thanks anyways.

you just need to get out of the game for a while. no point in having a car you can't afford when things break. yea you can buy a cheap VF39 and yea it might work for you, but really you're just gonna be wanting. if you have to crunch numbers and sacrifice just to get your car on the road again then maybe it's time for something more reliable. if you can't afford to build it reliable then you can't afford to keep it reliable...truth

I'd take Justin's advice and go with it. Basically a perspective from a person who's been there, done that deal

And really, I'm perfectly happy with my VF39. I don't need more power, it spools nicely down low, and it was cheap. I'm actually thinking of going back to a built TD04 @~20 psi if this one ever craps out on me. Sure it runs out of breath up top, but it'd be mad stupid fun in the low range.

when you get shaft play it will eventually break and that is when it leaks. b
but you neeed a new turo. i would either get a new OEM one or upgrade. just remember that if you upgrade you will need all the supporting mods. IE fuel system like pump and inj,and tune at the very least.

Parts installed. Anyone good with data logs? Something is still wrong and I think I logged it. I have no clue but I have a feeling that whatever it is it is gonna destroy this turbo. i am not an expert but i cant see anything wrong that i could log so i am gonna keep looking around my car for anything outta place.

Started up fine, Revved fine, casual drove fine, as soon as I got on it I heard an increase in noise and what felt like a loss in power. From then on it felt like it was struggling. I am gonna check the turbo to make sure it didnt blow(jeabus if it did)

Some potential ideas are, massive boost leak causing my turbo to spin to a ludachris speed and destroy itself

Fuel Pump is bad (dunno how this kills a turbo but maybe)

Grimmspeed 3port EBCS is bad and again spinning the turbo beyond its limitations (imma check with the test mode connectors here soon)

Banjo Bolt Screen clogged causing oil starvation?
