What greg I can't understand you, your too small! You no speaka the big white mans language! No really I tried and tried to sit in Ryan's S2k, but I just couldn't fit. There is no way for me to drive it. I'll let you know about the WRC car, but I can already tell you that I'll love it! You just need to get the new kart boy rear shifter bushing, and the shifter bushing to give your a better feal. That's like $50!

Maybe you have been driving broken STi's.
The only real advantage the S2K has, is the weight. STi is heavy.
I mean S2K handles good, but put stock S2K and stock STi on the same track and STi will turn way better lap times. Thats what it is all about.

I've heard that the handling of the S2k is excellent, and better than the stock STI by far. I don't know if I believe it since I am a die hard Impreza fan. Being 6'5" I can't ever experience the s2k anyway.

This is so funny. I test drove a customer/friends S2000 today and loved it. If it had the same power as a stock STi, it would blow doors on it. The car feels tight and refined in stock form. It was quite a surprise how stable it felt for a convertible. My STI handles better, but it is far from stock.
Out of the box, the S2K is one hell of a car. Hell, I didn't even get to rev the puppy up either. Gonna keep my eye out for a used one.

I was too scared to ask you and Dan if I could try your cars out. I knew I'd somehow break something. It felt great to sit in, though.

i guess it really comes down to a matter of driving style and preference-
when i posted this i was merely stating a FEELING that i had not had in a LONG TIME! man, just because i sell em don't mean i'm gonna be a blind seller-
i know what the cars made of- out of the box i like the susp/weight feel(of the S2K) versus STi right out of the box- too me, the factory STi susp is way too soft. but still handles like a champ-
maybe i'm from the old school days of RWD and haven't had any track time to honestly say i know what AWD is all about- i've been an owner of awd subies since nov. of 2002- and i have so much to learn about their driving characteristics
in reality todays test drive made me have a much better respect for both cars- and how they were designed- if i had to choose between the 2(and i did) STi all the way baby!
and i did ask the wife.... "if you get your odyssey... can i get the S2k?" thankfully she said no
long winded, but thats how my day went-

if i do get one- the wife is getting her van 1st- (which justifies it) and the wagon possibly will get sold- and depending on our house---- we'll see.
plus i want the one we have- its 2001, 14,000 miles........ nuff said- it belonged to a doctor originally, then one of our vendors just bought it and now he's got it on consignment....(thats another funny story altogether
... esp. after he seen me come back from my test drive!)
all that and i don't wanna pay more than 22g's -
