You don't have to cut the air dam. It's suggested because the fmic goes all the way up.

Ah ok, cool. From what I can see I like the looks of the APS since it seems to fully cover the air dam opening whereas the TXS seems to be a bit smaller in width and doesnt completely fill the space.
Got some decisions to make now I guess. =)
