Help spend $3000 on 06 WRX 2.5

I am new to modding subarus. I've always been an american V-8 kind of guy. But not any more. I would like some ideas on what to spend my money on. I'm
thinking about full exhaust with header. I'd like to be able to take on my buddys stock 04 vette. is it possible? if so, HELP ME get there!!!

hey man, welcome to the club!! i would go with an accessport and a tbe (turbo-back exhaust) and don't bother with an uppipe since your's is already catless. these two mods will really bring out your cars potential. good luck and happy moddings!

For 3 Grand, it's hard to beat the value of Vishnu's Stage 2 V350 Package. Priced at 2,995 with the Signature exhaust, it is Full Turbo-Back Exhaust, an upgraded 18G Turbo from Forced Performance, and a reflash of your factory ECU to match these upgrades. This package will put you at about a 4.2 0-60 and a 12.6 1/4 according to Vishnu, which from what info I can find, is the same 0-60 and only .1 slower in the 1/4 mile than an '05 C6 Vette. Find it here:
http://www.vishnutuning.com/wrx06_stage2_v350.htm
Or, if you want to see him trading in his muscle for some speed, go with the Stage 3 V400 package. It includes full Turbo-Back Exhaust, an upgraded Green Turbo from Forced Performance, a Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump, PE 850cc Fuel Injectors, and a reflash of your ECU, and would put you at about a 3.7 0-60 and a 12.0 1/4, and can take just about any stock Corvette other than a Z06. You can find that one here:
http://www.vishnutuning.com/wrx06_stage3_v400.htm
Welcome to the community, and best of luck.

Ok, heres a smart suggestion. Get front and rear cobb sway bars (cobbtuning.com) w/ standard mounts - 350. Get their rear endlinks - 135 (your front endlinks are fine). Get ss braided brake lines and fluid (~150$ from subydude). Go to gruppe-s.com and get a borla hush w/ 3" flange - 534. Get a titek catted downpipe from mpjperformance.com for about 407, and make sure you get the cobb access port - 645. Right now you are at 2221$ before tax, shipping etc. At this point I would go on ebay and get some replica strut tower braces (front and rear) - about 100$ shipped. So 2321$. New tires would also be good at this point, probably another 400$. (ROUGH ROUGH estimate). So that brings you to about 2721, and after tax, (and btw i forgot the actual tax so i think its like 8.75%?) it comes out to 2959. At that point you might as well get a shift **** as well :P. Now, that doesn't leave you any cash for installs, so keep that in mind.

I apologize for that glob of writting, I know its probably hard to read, but most can NOT argue with that setup at all. In fact I invite people to try me . That is my current setup as of this friday (minus the new rubber, which is soon to come). Trust me when I say that is a killer setup above.

And I just realized that you are not in CA, so you should be exempt from tax for the most part, and most shipping is free. GG. Use that would have been tax money and have someone install all your stuff. Have fun

that vishnu stuff is pretty interesting. honestly dude with $3k i would jus buy the cobbs AP and tbe and upgrade turbo + intercooler. This'll cost more than $4k with installations though, but your car will be smoking Vettes.

megan racing tbe- $500
cobb Ap- $645
Ebay tmic-$230
FP 18G- $900
Protune-$150-$300

and if you install everything yourself you will still have about $500 left over for suspension mods.

STi TMIC $250
Cobb Acess Port $600
Helix Downpipe $200
Helix Catback $400
Helix endlinks $100
STi Pink Springs $300
Cusco rear sway bar $150
Cusco rear strut bar $150

This set up is what I have and will leave you around 800 for install and tuning. I dont have the numbers on it yet because I am waiting for the uppipe (going to be used for a later project).
I would also upgrade your tires, if not wheels and tires. And as far as the ebay TMIC, its good, but you will have some fitment issues.

I hope this helps you.

I say you go for a balance setup like everyone else is saying i did power first and it's fun to go fast but like everyone says you have to stop and corner eventually. And cornering is way more fun then a straight line. But yeah work on some suspension and power save up some money then put some big boy turbo's on so you can really smoke your friends vette!

I would do what I originally said, or something along those lines, and then once you have more cash get injectors, a 20g, a topmount (or front mount), fuel pump, and a protune.
