i was just wondering...but, who's got RECON for their car?...and what parts are they for?...(ex: suspension, rims, etc.)

I don't have Recon but i don't have my car slamed like some do. I think (just how i think the windward side works) as long as you don't have a really load exhaust, car droped so the wells just hang on top of the tires, and illegal blue looking headlights we're good. Oh and tint man they don't play when it comes down to tint somettimes

 

A cop pulled me over at a sobriety checkpoint and gave me crap because my STi hood scoop wasn't listed on my recon. papers. I mean - gimme a freakin' break! EVERYTHING ELSE is on there (exhaust, rims, suspension, alignment, etc.) and the headlights are DOT (look at 'em) but my scoop was gonna get me into trouble? That's ridiculous. I think he was a new sarge trying to flex his stripes.

I'm lucky I'm an old man and not a punk kid so when I started to give him the apathetic "do whatever you're gonna do, I'm not a ricer teenager - so if you wanna do your best go ahead I've got places to be attitude" he backed off and let me go.

your headlights are DOT?

 

Your's should be too, just look at the bottom of part of the headlight. Imprinted on the clear cover. DOT.

 

How the hell did he know about the STI hoodscoop ? I can't even tell the difference unless they're side by side

i swear that thing could suck up low flying birds...

 

yes there have been reports of them. i've read a few stories over the last couple of years.
