Do a

Google search. Basically, they were branding Mobil 1 "Synthetic", and it was actually a synthetic blend, not pure/true synthetic. There was a big lawsuit years ago.

I run Redline 5W-30. Royal Purple is awesome, but Redline is just as good, if not better. I have also used Mobile1 5W30 once and I use the 10W-30 in my Xterra.

Red Line or Royal Purple. And change frequently. Oil is the life blood of your motor.
