As Nate said, the car does not want to hold boost. It will hit our target boost then fall off to about .5 bar at abour 5500 rpms. To clarify what is going on with Nate's car, I was given 3 days to install a package that Dyno-comp estimated would take about a week to install. I did not have the oppertunity to set the boost controller, nor did I tune the ECU. I simply installed the components of the kit-- which is what I was paid to do. It must be understood that whenever a car is modified, you can't expect instant results. There is a lot of tweaking that needs to be done, it just takes time. I know Nate will get the results he is looking for, we just need to play with it. It's all a part of the game.

hey, if anyone wants to not stress your car, just take for grocerries, other than that, whatever track event you do, you will put less years off the life expectancy of it.

rage, thats a pretty high trap speed, but this was in the mainland right? with just a top mount, some guys average around a 13.0 @102mph, right now i think i would be running better if i just put a bigger top mount on my car unless if i start tuning it.

I've run 106mph here with a TMIC.

Ryan went in like a tornado and finished very fast! He was trying to get done so I could do the BMW Aloha 500, but because the car didn't feel right I held off. Ryan has been very helpful, and stayed late until the job was done! Exactly why I go to him for all my installs !

Yep, it was in PA @ Numidia Raceway. (you never heard of it, I know) It was a good run and I have yet to be able to do it again. It just happened to be the prefect run for me. Seeing that I am running the stock TMIC I am sure I could really benefit from a larger one or a FMIC setup... The mph was kinda high too. Not sure why normally I run average of around 103 to 104... I hit a few 12.9's and one other 12.8, but I have been in the 13.0 - 13.3 range a lot of the time. I know that my car would be capable of better times, but I am not consistant with it at all.

It can be done, trust me. I don't know if I can pull it off here and if I can find the time slip I will show you it, but it is in PA (I am heading home for christmas so I will look for it)

I know that others have run high 12's at similar mph back in Pa @ the subaru shootout. I have seen it...

Man, it took me 3 days just to install my factory boost gauge!

I suspect Ryan's job was a wee bit more complicated too...

I take it you are running a utec? if so why don't you download TXS's FMIC map? It might help you out some?

I know that the guys at TXS told me to load that on to my utec if I wanted a good baseline... they told me that the map was the best one that they have and that it would be safe for me to run with a stock TMIC. This is the map I used to start my tuning. My car ran a best of 13.0 on this map... with a little tweaking on my own I ran the 12.8. Now the car is tuned a little better and I am not sure what I would run? It may run slower for all I know?

You can take a look at my map if you want to? I just don't have a laptop anymore
