You want to modify your car? You have to pay to play. You may think it sucks, but you can't do a damn thing about it. So you might as well live with it, or GTFO. Or run for office if you really want change. Everyone can rage about the system, yet no one actively tries to change it...
True it is one of those things you can't change, but you do have to admit its a bit wacky. I see tons of trucks that don't meet regulations yet have recon. Just sayin.....

if you're building a car as an "investment" i hope you pick up a dictionary soon as learn the meaning on the word investment. at least you'll be too broke to live here and are going back soon. i get the feeling the reason you didn't pass recon wasn't because of the inspector....wait is this Scott Caan? it sure sounds like it, come clean man

most people here live in a single room apartment with mulitple families...sounds familiar. Yes any vehicle depreciates the minute you drive it off the lot. No matter if it's a house or a vehicle its a major purchase that people put their time, effort, money into. I can see here by all the negative responses that some of you I wouldn't even wave to even if you were driving a subaru. Don't throw your **** tantrum at me because you chose to stay on this rock and deal with what you were given.

know your roll barney or go back to the mainland. i choose to stay here because i like it here, oh and because i can afford it. maybe you should get an education and stop throwing YOUR **** tantrum because you failed recon. you cry that you failed and nobody is petitioning it but what are you doing? sounds to me like a whole lot of complaining. plenty of people with modded cars pass recon but because you didn't pass everything is corrupt and hawaii sucks. if you don't like it and you aren't going to do something about it STFU or GTFO. there's a reason most of the posts are negative, it's you.

Given that you got this car "as an investment," i am sure you bought a whole bunch of stuff, and "hate this place." I am going to go out on a whim and say your a boot. I am a Marine, and unlike you love this place, the people, i mean sure theres some things that stink. But for the views, 95% of the people, and the water nothing beats it. Attitude makes a big difference living here, if you don't like it stay on kbay, get a dodge ram 1500 and go hang out with your boys at the eclub. Rant over....

whoa that's a serious investment, he might have to talk to his financial adviser first before making such a risky commitment. there's a good chance that one might not yield dividends....and heaven forbid if it won't pass safety.
