I passed recon with my wagon......and I had coilovers. Like Ryan said......you're either going to need recon or you won't get your next safety check. I'm so glad I got recon on my LS so I don't have to worry about this crap anymore

That's just it, you don't know! Let some air out of your tires, go full soft on your rebound, and detach your front sway if you have to. I bet if you just detached the sway you would pass no problems. Or, explain that to the guy ( although he probably has no idea how that would matter... Good thing he's inspecting your car right? )

Here is the deal people. If you bought a wrx or sti on island you are exempt from recon because your vehicle came with a safety inspection. For those of us that bring one to the island you will not pass point blank. Both of us watched a guy with mods and a lifted truck pass while the inspector Willie told the two of us which by the way the other guy was sitting stock HE HAS NEVER SEEN A SUBARU COME THROUGH RECON AND PASS EVER.
RECON IS A CORRUPT BIASED POLITICAL SYSTEM! POINT BLANK! How much clearer do I need to make this?
So lesson learned, I never should have let anyone here touch my suspension and alignment because I was set up for failure anyway. So today Im putting everything back the way I had it done. It won't be "safety sticker" specs at all. Go **** yourselves recon/safety inspections

Lol, I know right. And the guys that really need it (lowriders with 4,000lb cars rolling on little 13" tires, 240 guys with duct tape and zip ties holding their car together, etc.....) never even bother.

I take it your military, I am as well. I have been on this island for over 6 years and love everything about it except 3 things. The cops, the roads, and the local gov. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BUY A DASH CAM.... for me i have gone to court 5 times because of the police and have won every time thanks to that little thing. Other wise ENJOY THE ISLAND

^ that's exactly what the inspector said. He said go get struts that aren't for a wrx and let air out of your tires.
So you want me to be unsafe and do more damage to my tires and alighnment to pass a test for "hawaii safe standards" ...
not happening. I already found a place that passed me on safety. I will not get recon ever while Im here period.

you need some boxes or you just gonna use the empty tissue containers? maybe if you threw this much of a tantrum when you did the bounce you could have moved the car 2". you think anything in life is always fair and not corrupt in some way? where do you think all the taxes you pay are going? you've been getting screwed by a corrupt system ever since you got your first paycheck, hell even before that when you bought your first piece of candy and paid that yummy sales tax. hele on barney
