Myself and another scooby tried to get recon today. We both failed for stiff suspension. The guy just laughed when we did the bounce test.

That place is so corrupt, Willie the inspector even admitted that all subaru's fail when they come through there and he even said he knows that the suspension is still stock. So why isn't anyone petitioning this? Whatever I'm just not going to get recon and move on.

 

OEM subaru suspension isn't very stiff... Even the STI stuff is pretty bouncy. What is the requirement to pass?

Why did you have to get recon if your suspension is unchanged? I had to get recon before but only because I changed suspension. No other mods need recon or so I was told by the guy. What were you trying to get recon for?

 

There are numerous things you need recon for. But they inspect the whole vehicle.

 

Here is the deal people. If you bought a wrx or sti on island you are exempt from recon because your vehicle came with a safety inspection. For those of us that bring one to the island you will not pass point blank. Both of us watched a guy with mods and a lifted truck pass while the inspector Willie told the two of us which by the way the other guy was sitting stock HE HAS NEVER SEEN A SUBARU COME THROUGH RECON AND PASS EVER.

RECON IS A CORRUPT BIASED POLITICAL SYSTEM! POINT BLANK! How much clearer do I need to make this?

So lesson learned, I never should have let anyone here touch my suspension and alignment because I was set up for failure anyway. So today Im putting everything back the way I had it done. It won't be "safety sticker" specs at all. Go **** yourselves recon/safety inspections

 

1inch of travel up and down so 2' all together. He even went so far to say that if you have a tiny sticker on the rear quarter panel window that is non passable along with a 4 inch sticker on my back window that doesn't affect my view.

Oahu is ****ing corrupt and hypocritical, no other state does this besides the smog check in CA.

I'd do a lot of things for manapua, pork hash, and coco puffs.

 

I passed with a Subaru.... This was a few years ago but whatever.

And on the point of corruption....... Ur new around here ain't cha?


If you don't get recon you won't be able to get a safety inspection or register your vehicle. So I hope you like paying tickets.
