Picked up a bead breaker/tire station thingy. Got cocky watching the videos and thought I belonged on the dakkar pit crew. Two~three hours and several busted knuckles later, I realized my tire changing skills have not improved a bit. Not even a nut hair closer/faster.

 

awesome that you picked one up, I've always wondered if it would be easier or not.

Nowadays I'm lucky if I change 1 tire per year. But... I used to change out quite a few, even in between heats if necessary. I used to use the 5gallon bucket + 3 tire iron technique. If you want to call that a technique! Plenty busted fingers from doing that when the iron would slip, owweee!

No worries, I bet by the 5th time or so, you're pro status!

Ah, I lost some money but at least I know it's in great hands. You know it!

Still not sure what I want to pick up next. Top choice is a KTM RC8 but they're hard to find at a good deal. Another idea is picking up a KTM 690 SMC and converting into an RC4R project or pick up a trials bike and call it a day.

So when will we do an i-club ride?

 

RC8's are great bikes! I only speak from riding around on a friends for a day or so, street corners, no track time. Good pickup, tons of torque.

trials bike? hehe I'm too old to stand up all day on those pegs. Fun bikes tho, I had one for a few months and was over it. If you like jumping tho... its not a good choice.

At any rate, yea one day... we ride!

Ryan bought my wife's bike, zipping all over on that thing nowadays. I just dusted mine off and started riding around again lately. Let's setup a day on a weekend!

Down....Maybe. Depends on if my car is back together. Down to possibly ride dirtbike too...but I still need a ride. Idk, might just sell that thing already.
