trying to pick best exhaust system

what is the deepest sounding and highest power gain exhaust system? must be 2 1/2 in pipe
i have a 98 2.5rs coupe

i used to have a tanabe hyper medallion, deep sound, but not sure about the power gains.... i had it on my 95 impreza for a while even though it was for a 2.5L

All catbacks gain about the same, but headers can vary. Borlas will give you the best sound, take your pick among Cobb, MRT, TWE, and Brullen for power. Add a 2.5" high flow cat, and your catback of choice, and you're set.

98skuby - Hey there! Stromung offers a Cat Back for your car. It is 2.25in piping and comes in three different versions.

Dual Tip Cat Back - $595 shipped
Single Tip Cat Back - $565 shipped
XA Tip Cat Back (3 1/2 angle cut tip) - $535 shipped

The performance gains are like the rest of the cat backs but these sound great!

Oh and Stromung also offers a High Flow Cat Pipe like BAN SUVS said that will help a lot in the performance aspect for $345 shipped!!
