Looking to buy, please help.
Hello,
I work at a Nissan dealership as a tech and recently we had a 1999 subaru impreza RS 2.5 awd 5 spd come as a trade in. It has 86,000 miles and runs and drives great. I'm looking for one to have for a daily driver/winter driver. How are these cars on daily driving? How reliable is the car? At 86k mi. am I expected to replace anything in particular in the next few months/years? What's the scheduled maintenance on these cars? How's the drivetrain reliability? It's in beautiful shape and im really looking forward to owning it if you think its a good buy, the manager is willing to give it to me for $6,600 out the door.

thats a very solid car. only thing to worry about is your maf. the 99 had a bad year for those. in 2000 they actually switched it to map. but as long as you dont get mud/water/K&N oil on the maf it should be 'OK'
