sup all, been a few days... since my last post ive decided on a gunmetal paint for the wheels rather than the flat black. I'm going to finish it soon, possibly this weekend... so I will post pics as soon as I'm done!

 

hey guys, to help with some of the short ram intake questions... I pmed this guy on nasioc, regarding the injen intake for the 2.5i... here's what he said:

yea seems like rallitek is really coming out with some good stuff for us. they have some headers and catback too. search the forum for 2.5i, and go to the headers topic. they have a sick picture of the header on a 2.5i, it looks real good...

man im getting all pumped up from all these new parts, plus my roomate getting coilovers/wheels done next weekend for his audi.. now its just some more waiting.. *stares at bank account* anybody want to donate to the "no more stock for vin" fund?

Well, because of the new i-active valve lift . . .(or whatever it's called)

the 2.5i engine now produces:

Power: 173 hp @ 6,000 rpm
Torque: 166 lb-ft @ 4,400 rpm

I believe the older 2.5rs produced 166hp if i'm correct.

Yet. . . it still feels . . . . slow . . . in my opinion :P
Maybe it's the AWD tranny weight? Cause you know . . . our cars weigh in at about 3010lbs . . .

Wouldn't it be swell, if the impreza weighed the same as a Honda civic?

its quick for NA engine, but yea it's definitely not too quick

also, vin, our 2.5i's already have equal length headers... that is one of the upgrades from the older RS's... if you bought the rallitek headers you probably wont see much of a gain, at least tahts what everyone has been saying.

But ya, I'm excited about all the parts coming out.. I've been talking with this guy that gets JDM stuff and I am probably going to buy the ings+1 replica body kit in august from him. CAN'T WAIT!

Umm, is the rallitek intake bolt on. Well, as for my aftermarket preferences, it has to be all bolt on. so if something goes wrong w/ my engine, i can install the stock parts back in and my warranty won't void.

 

i just got done painting the rims, ended up choosing graphite for the color. looks pretty good. ill post pics in a day or two

this is a long link but yeah,.. i was checking out some parts on ebay and there's this racing chip that can increase hp up to 25+. what do you guys think about this item.

 

ive seen those and I wouldnt trust them. 25+ gains is unlikely when u spend $30 on that chip.

you should get the pp7 for $800 and have it pro tuned. that will give u a nice gain
