A lot of my friends, stick to the STI TMIC. . .But Gruppe-s has their Helix TMIC that works really well. . .And like always, never can go wrong with a FMIC.

adds that bling factor if you get the fmic.

Yes, a bigger topmount would improve performance, you would need a custom tune to really get the most out of it. It would provide more cool air which would make for quicker spool (if tuned correctly) and more power.

What other mods do you have? Money might be better spent elsewhere...

i think a fmic with a vf34 would be too much for that turbo a tmic would do better with less lag.

with the bigger top mount installed, am thinking of replacing the vf 34. any recommendations of any better bolt on turbo that spools as quick and offers more torque or power?

haha damn, new turbo last week. new TMIC yesterday. now tired of the new turbo already?

look at the 18g or 20g. and then after that you'll want to upgrade to an FMIC. and then after that to a GT35R, lol

I would sugget a 20G. I was about to ask why you even went with the VF34 as it is basically the same turbo as the 39. 20G spools up like stock but has more power everywhere and can hold boost alot better than the 34 or 39 to redline.
