turbo swap? need some questions answered

ok, so I am thinking about doing some modding to the 07 tr pretty soon here, I am already looking at a fully catless DP and TBE, an intake (suggestions on the best? I heard cobb from a couple sources) also like the thread states... I am looking into a bigger turbocharger, mainly an IHI VF 30 or 34... what else would I have to do to my baby to get it in optimal shape after the turbo swap? and will a cobb accessport work for the tuning with a new turbo? new injectors also maybe? please help a fella out, thanks in advance

No need for injectors if ur going with a vf34 or something. I had a vf34 on my 2007 WRX, but took it out and put the VF39 on, cuz cobb actually had temp maps for the vf39. U wont be able to drive ur car in boost really until u get a tune if u go with a vf34 on ur 2007.
I called cobb and asked them also, and they dont have any plans at all to make maps for the vf34 on the 06/07 wrxs. They said their not as popular as the VF39 and 18g and such that everyone is going with.
I suggest a Fuel Pump upgrade though, and APS intake, and Turbo Inlet, one step colder plugs, and a good tune, and u shuld be very happy. Oh ya a bigger TMIC as well.

Since your car has the 2.5l lump in it, might I suggest a VF22, 20G, or similar sized turbo.

VF30/34/39 will all provide dang near the same performance.
VF22 a bit more.

A 20G turbo will make a good difference.
Just make sure you do all of the supporting mods
and you should be just fine.
