Time To Upgrade My Sti
Hi I'm ready to do some upgrade to my Sti but need some suggestion. I went to cobb web site and need know if this is true?

i hate staged packages.. the staged AP packages IMO are identical to the TXS staged packages they had long ago with the unichip.
They are very inflexible if you plan to stray away from thier suggested parts list.
If you're looking for power, my suggestion is to figure out how much you're willing to spend in one shot, pick a realistic power level you want to acheive, pick your turbo and supporting engine management, and buget in for a custom tune.
All cars are different off the showroom floor, HP in a box may work to some extent but you play with fire when the A/F ratios vary.
Last week, i spoke to Dave from Kingpin performance about the staged packages...we both laughed about folks calling in to compare the Cobb or TXS staged packages.., Dave's "stage 1" kit puts out 535 whp! ..im curious what the next stage is..lol.

Dp with ECutek I made 280 awhp plus.....and 293 awtrq plus- Now walbro pump and cat delete pipe plus typhoon well over 300 @wheels in both departments.
Cost = ECUtek with tuning on dyno and road > 750
Used Bosal with jethot coating installed 250
Cat delete with install 190
walbro pump installed 150
Also sti pink lateral arms rear with endlinks installed = 450
