the last few weeks i experienced a strange event,where accelarating in 5th gear past 3500 rpm,the engine would stumble and cough,and throw a cel w/cruise light flashing.i would disconnect the negative terminal from the battery and the cel would go away.my mods consist of cobb accessport stage 2 w/k&n drop-in.any help would be appreciated.thanks.

i have the same prob if i go through all the gears it will buck in 6th but if im on the highway and i gunn 4th 5th or 6th it will buck. then the ECL comes on with the cur flashing evrybody is saying its bosst creep. im going to my performance shop 2morrow and im going to ask them about my wastegate getting ported

 

well,i thought that if you have engine management(cobb accessport)there will be no boost creep issues.any ideas?

 

thats not true about the cobb accessport. there is no way to correct the problem of boost lag unless you port your wastegate. for what i've heard the wastegate on the VF39 turbo (dunno too much about car parts) is too small to relieve extra pressure in the turbo.

 

I have ecutek and I don't have any boost creep issues, I'd recommend ditching the AP and getting a real tune.
