WRX blew out 1/2 qt of oil from BOV...

Car Info: 2003 Impreza WRX

WRX blew out 1/2 qt of oil from BOV...

Anyone know what the hell this is from? I was driving and my car didn't feeel right so I pulled off and looked and there was half a quart of oil or so that had come out of the BOV. I took it off and there was oil in the I/C, it only did it once and hasn't done it since but now its misfiring, anyone have any ideas?

that sounds bad... You should probably pull your spark plugs and take a look at them. They could be fouled (that would cause the misfire). Lots of oil in the intercooler is a really bad thing though. Good luck.

If you have THAT much oil coming from your BOV, you've gone and blown something up. pull the hose going to your compressor inlet and your compressor outlet. Which side has oil on it? While your at it, check the turbine wheel for free play.

What is the level of oil in your engine right now?
