Blew out a tire, what to do?
I was going to work and making a turn, not at a crazy *** speed, but fairly fast, however the car would normally grip (25-30 mph?) and my car just screeched through it and I almost lost control. When I got to work, I realized that during that turn, something punctured my tire. So I'm rollin' on a donut. This really sucks and I'm already having a bad week.
I have some choices.
1) Replace one tire.
2) Replace all tires (recommended)
3) Just replace the rear tires (where the accident happened)
What should I do? I called up a few places. Big-O wanted $118 for a Continental tire (bleh). Larry's Tires in Hayward wanted $112.76 for a Falken Ziex, $451 for a set mounted and balanced. Then Mel's Tires wanted $110 for a Federal tire. Of course, you guys know the stock size for my Scooby's 205/55/16 and I can't go any lower than a V rating. What should I do? I still have my 'teg, but I don't wanna drive that too long and right now my Impreza's sitting in the driveway (slightly sloped) on a donut. =/
I WOULD just get new rims and tires, but I ain't got that kind of money to blow right now. So any advice would be great.

First, take the tire to a tire shop or gas station and try to get it fixed.
Most punctures can be repaired.
Discount Tire does it for free.
My wife has had two punctures repaired on her car, my partner one. Tires were fine and went for many many more 1000's of miles.
Good luck.

Actually the tire can't be repaired because the sidewall was screwed according to the guy at Big-O Tires. So I wasted a half hour walking around waiting.

If you want a full size spare for a while, you can send me a PM, I'm right down the street and have a set of '00 rims with snow tires on my balcony. Then you can take your time, order whatever tire or tires you want and not have to roll on the donut.
You can get whatever tires from Auto Innovations also, you can have him order whatever you want, and I can take your rim in when they get there, it's a 5 minute drive from where I work, I can just drop it off one day and pick it up later or the next day or something.
Or get a set of WRX rims and tires from someone who upgraded, and sell your rims for ~the same price.

Sweet! PM me your number and/or shoot me an e-mail at takumi@ddrspot.com. I'm gonna be gone for the weekend though, so I'll probably drop by and grab it on Monday. However, if there's time tonight that I can get that wheel/tire on my car by 6:30, that'll be great. Thanks dude!
BTW, I totally forgot your real name. Hehe, darn internet.

I've got an OEM tire with 20k miles that you can have for 10 bucks. (In fremont) PM me if you want it.
Holland,
If you want to take up HellaDumb's offer and just need a way for the tire to get to you, I can pick it up and drop it off to you tomorrow or Sunday, as both days I will be passing by Fremont. Just call me or something.

Thanks again guys! Aya, I tried calling you today, but I couldn't get a hold of ya cuz you couldn't be reached. Anyway, I assume the situation with recieving the tire's taken care of?
I'm kinda limited on 'net time this weekend cuz I'm out of town, so let me know what's up by calling my phone or PMing me (I'll *try* to check it somehow).
