whats wrong with my car?

i started my car this morning and the check engine was flashing and it was shaking really hard like a earthquake. It was also really slow and sounds like an airplane. what's happened to it? its a 2004 subaru wrx with 64,345 miles. it used to have a catless turboback but now its all stock. all i have is a borla hush catback.

It could be either a vacuum leak, or there might be a misfire in one of the pistons.

How does one get a misfire in a piston?

I think your referring to a misfire in a cylinder which could be the case but to be honest there are so many possibilities it's pointless to speculate without inspecting the vehicle with the correct tools.
