Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

What motor oil is everyone using in their Rex?

Neo Synthetic 5w-30. My friend is bringing me a case of Oberon oil from Japan when he gets back. I heard its one of the best oils available. I dont think anyone even sells it here.

Amsoil 5w30 series 3000 with OEM filter. You can't go wrong with a combo like that...

Mobil 1

and other oil makers have hidden behind the word synthetic. I don't want dino with synthetic, I want full synthetic. Mobil 1 used the moniker synthetic when it wasn't fully synthetic. I run Redline, would run Amsoil if readily available (and Redline wasn't). Have seen mixed reviews of Royal Purple. Funny, when I do a Google on synthetic, Redline is at the top of the list.
