Uppipe and downpipe problems
What are ALL the potential problems of installing catless uppipes and downpipes? Also, what about the CEL fix with the resistor? What problems can arise from that? I REALLY can't afford to pay for a major repair, and before I spend money on this stuff I want to be sure I'm not gonna hurt my baby. Thanks guys!

Problems?
More power = earlier clutch death or bald tires on all 4 corners.
Can't imagine anything other than a failed emissions test slowin' ya down with an up and downpipe replacement.
The 2.2k ohm resistor in the EGT connector (uppipe) and a PEP Mil Eliminator took care of all my CEL concerns and I can't see how any major damage would occur later on from either of these great modifications.

whats the best downpipe out there right now that will give you most hp gain for the wrx? 4" 3" does it matter?
if one is to get a high flow cat to replace the catpipe on the wrx would it really make a difference?
I already got a tanaba cat back exhust.. thanks

After looking at all of the local Subies with different makes and models of parts - it seems like they all make about the same power.
We have a cross sampling of TXS, Perrin, Helix, PDE, etc. downpipes and all the cars are within acceptable driver error of eachother in quarter mile e.t.
Uppipes the same (TXS, PDE, Vishnu, etc.)
And no - I don't think there are any problems to worry about cropping up with the CEL fixes.
