Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Is that in the efficiency range of that turbo... It doesn't make any sence to run boost that is out of the efficiency range, but to kind of anwser your question people are running bigger turbos with that boost.

Seems like VF30's pump their best at 18psi:

IHI VF-30 460 CFM at 18.0 PSI
From hotrod's flow FAQ.

I think there's a definite law of diminishing returns after that.

Guys are running 12.70-80's with Stage 4's + TMIC at this boost level...

i'd say yes, the stock block can handle it but its the octane and detonation that i'd be worried about.

at 1.35bar or 19.2psi, your wasting your time. Stick to roughly (no more then) 18psi or 1.25bar that way your not just blowing hot air.

Yes your engine can handle it but why stress the engine when 1.25 - 1.3 bars is the max efficiency. Sounds like someone is addicted to boost. God knows I am. Good luck at the track.
