a/f gauge problems after uppipe/downpipe install

Hey I recently removed 2 of my 3 cats (uppipe, and downpipe) and I still have the factory 3rd cat, both have a CEL fix on them and ever since I did that my a/f ratio gauge reads lean or nothing..sometimes u will see the red lights come on very lightly...but most the time it will show nothing @ all..is there anything I can do about that so it shows a reading?

First off, what do you have your gauge hooked up too?? Because if you using the factory down stream sesnor and you have the cel fix installed.....then theres your problem!

yea i do have it hooked up to that...but someone was telling me if I tap into the 02 sensor wire BEFORE the CEL fix I will get an accurate reading....is that true?

is the O2 sensor plugged in at all?? Or is the connector disconnected for the CEL fix?? The sensor needs to be plugged in to function.
I would recommend installing a separte dedicated O2 sensor in front of the Catalytic converter.

The catalytic converter alters the mixture and if your sensor is not in front of it then that gauge isn Useless.
