Just another name for the same thing. Recirc valves are often called "bypass valves" as well.

the red pill

if you guys wanna get real technical, take a look at this. Z guys have been mulling over this stuff for years. now keep in mind when youre reading that discussion theyre talking about TT Z-cars, but the same theories about recirculation, flow, "reversion", etc, apply to ours. happy reading!

Oh, indeed... That, and a subwoofer mounted under the passenger seat like the Kenwood KSC-SW1... They dig the vibrations if you get my drift... no drift to be gotten, it was rpetty obvious I guess...

The BOV can get annoying to the girlfriend... But all hail the mighty sub!!!

Oh, btw about aftermarket blow off valves... the WORX is a great unit.. consider you get what you pay for... so opting for a cheaper 50/50 unit MAY cause leaks, but a unit like the WORX is pretty hard to get wrong... Its fully adjustable, and if anything will hold more boost than your stock BOV... but we all know that the stock is VERY capable for lots of boost, and its really the sound were after... Give the worx a try if you dig the sound... it wont tire you out, given that its not really venting unless you shift high... My daily driving habits are low rpm... so i know the WORX would be perfect for me... aggressive when Im driving aggressive.. mellow when im driving mellow... Yah!??!??!?

the stock bov with the intake silencer removed just sounds like a horse fart. its not the cool whoosh like you would get from a hks sqv but yeah there is good and bad about almost any mod to a suby, some you win some you lose unless you get a reflash.
a reflash is a win win....
