STi top mount?

i want to get a STi top mount for my 02' WRX. I want it to be a direct fit only. i am looking to get the best t/m so i naturally want to get the biggest. i heard the jdm ver. 7 t/m is larger than my original choice of the usdm 04/05 STi t/m. i also noticed that there is a jdm spec C that is still a bolt on. any help on the differences and preferences. also wonder if air splitter will fit either model.

The bracket that the stock IC mounts to on the passenger side, has an extra threaded hole. That's for the V7 STi IC. They're pretty good, and you can't get much of a better fit than stock. Expensive and hard to find though.

I'm not sure about the Spec C, as I don't know if it'd use the same mounting points. I think with any bigger core, you need to get a different splitter and, might as well get a STi scoop. However, for the price of a V7 STi, you can easily find a better TMIC that's an aftermarket, might need to adjust your a/c line, but after that it'll have a bigger core and cool better for cheaper.

What other mods do you have? If you are still with stock everything else, you won't really see much of a difference between sti TMIC and an aftermarket one...

+1 from above

if you are in stock form still, don't worry about getting a bigger IC. if you are getting your car tuned, bar and plate would be preferable, but anything bigger than the stock one will help.
