i would go short ram...cold air makes your A/F ratio too rich....

or if you have not done the resonator mod that helps too....

Pull one of the plugs out of the firewall near the brake pedal. You'll hear the whistle much louder as well.

From what I have read a most of the deigns of the CAI will cause a lean condition because the MAF will sense more air that is truly passing by it. Normally it doesn't change the mixture to much but I guess the most change will occur in cylinder #3.

The design of the stock MAF location is after a right turn which results in different pressures of air on the inside of the curve vs the outside.

I think the MAF senses more air and then the ECU adds more fuel to compensate for the air-an intake does nothing
