yes there is a thing called vf35, i've seen it at mpjperformance/gbmotorsports. looks very similar to vf34 but supose to spool up faster but not as much top end...

if you get external wastegate it will help you can reach full boost faster because you can turn on the gains higher since you don't need to worry about boost spikes as much....

Yeah, I think the VF35 is the best option.

But then again, you cannot really only look at spool up. You can get a turbo smaller than stock one and it will spool by 500RPM.

Is that what you want?

You need to find a balance between power and spool up.

Plus, there is a number of ways to increase the spool up of ANY turbo.

Some are simple and cheap, some are expensive and complicated.

For example, to inrease the spool up of my bucket size turbo (T67), I opted for a built motor, built heads with AVCS, spicy cams and 9500RPM redline.

9500-I miss that side of the Tac.

I did not know you were running AVCS heads. Who's cams are you running?

Rasing the redline above stock comes with no guarantees.

I've read a lot about your car, but I've never seen you post times (1/4-mile) on it. Have you ever blown down the old 1320? I wish I had 20% more displacement...

Dragging is boring, but it would be fun to see what your bucket can do. Do the stock cams have anything up there? If your not seeing any drop of then there may not even be a need to upgrade the AVCS cams. Just turn up the boost and play with the cam timing-sounds nice-very tempting.

Do you know anything about the differences in the STI and WRX avcs heads/cams etc. ?
