turbo spool
turbo spool
at what rpm do you start to hear the turbo spool. mine starts to spool at 2300 and it gets louder. is that normal. no mods or what so ever. any ideas on what it can be.

yeah, it sounds like you are getting a lot of air sucked in through your intake or something, and possibly through some compressor blades that are spinning at 100,000 rpms. haha. i wouldn't worry about it. most turbos will make some noise when they spool.

Or wait until a freaking cold day, warm up the engine, turn off the heater and radio/CD/anything that makes noise. Take it in 2nd gear up around 5000 RPM and hear the turbo in all its freaky-cool glory. They shoulda put a sticker on the hood "As seen on TV" or something because I always thought it sounded a little fake in GT2/3, but it sounds like that
And, yes, I start to hear it around 2500, but don't really feel the kick in the head until about 2900.
