Loud Turbo Spool

sup dudes I just installed my uppipe and downpipe the other night and when I drive I noticed that my turbo would spool up really early [1.5k-2k] and very loud and remain consistent under I let off throttle. It sounds just like those diesel trucks with power stroke. Could this be a leak somewhere before or after the turbo? Anyone have/had this same problem or might know what it could be? Thanks guys LMK
I have a 2005 wrx

well 2500 RPM sounds right for the power for a td04. I mean it'll make spooling noises prior to that but that's normal. The turbo is always gonna be spinning no matter what.

go for it.. the lud sound isn't from a leak.. a leak will just sound bad.. like sticking ur hand over ur mouth and blowing through ur fingers...

Alright cool..Oh, I should also note the smell of exhaust gas coming from the rear [which is normal] and it seems like a little comes from the middle, or maybe it's just the wind lol..

What about sputtering? it only sputtered like twice and its when I downshift when slowing down..

slowing down in what gear does it sputter? Honestly, I'd check every bolt you touched for a leak.

4th to 3rd just a little, but much more 3rd to 2nd..and yeah I was gonna check today for leaks..A buddy of mine also told me to replace some gaskets if I used old ones because the only new gaskets I put on were turbo to dp and dp to midpipe..
I bought my uppipe used and it didn't come with any gaskets

If you hear the exhaust being louder in any unusual way then you might have a leak. But its hard to tell without a video or such. I would the raise and have a buddy rev while one checks for a leak, to rule it out. Just a thought, good luck.
