Rebuild or just swap it?
Hey fellas. I bought my 04WRX wagon about 5 months ago and I have 10K miles on it. It is all stock. I wanted to know if when my payments are done, 4 1/2 years from now Should I just do a rebuild or engine swap? If you do the math in 5 years I would have over 100K mils on the car. Obviously I wont upgrade parts with that many miles but what should I do then?
Has anyone here done a Rebuild due to ALOT of miles on there engine? or Has anyone Swapped due to too many miles (like in Japan)?

I think you should rebuild it. It's cheaper. You can even put in some better rods, pistons, cams, etc... to stroke it to a 2.2L. Also at that time you can upgrade the clutch and flywheel. Maybe even get a better 5mt or 6mt, at that time too.
If you consider the swap i would go all out and do a full sti swap. Engine, trans, drivetrain. You will have enough time to see if the sti motor will be a good performer or not too. For now just enjoy your new car. Keep up on the maitenance since your mileage is high.
