Any clues on this???

During acceleration, the turbo spools up and spikes (goes to around .1 mpa and drops down to around .75 or .8 mpa). As soon as it reaches the .1 mark, I hear rattling sounding like someone tapping an empty pop can.

The rattling noise is only apparent at around 80% of throttle and up. If it is engine knocking, then wouldn't it be present at 4K rpm without full throttle? Anything to remedy it, providing it is engine knock???

Also, the spike that occurs... has anyone else had a problem with that? I took it to the dealer 2 months ago when I noticed it, and they said it was fine.

Any clues? Advice? Anything would be helpful! Thanks.

if its the same sound, i think mine rattles too i dont think its anything to worry about.

 

It's a metal sound. I would definately think it is something to worry about since it is very audible when the turbo is spooling up!
