modded wrx slower with TX top mount?!?!?!
im making 236whp with my mods and stock turbo/intercooler. I put the TXS top mount on and the car ran slower.. litteraly. I my car is tuned for 16.5 PSI and makes it no problem. bleeds out toward redline, but pulls. I put the top mount on and now its making less then 1 bar. should my EBC be correcting this? someone help me out here

NJ Dino- when you switch to a bigger intercooler, even a top-mount, it usually needs to get re-tuned in order to maximize horsepower gains. For example, my car was initially tuned w/ a stock topmount. When I switched to an STI topmount, my horsepower was nearly the same but my torque dropped. According to Mike W. from Gruppe-S Tuning who initially tuned my car for a VF34 setup, my midrange was also not as strong as before. I think that a re-tune is required for your setup just like how my car needed the re-tune. Just my $0.02 in.

gotcha. I am goin to get retuned when I put vf injctors vf34 and top mount on all at once. instead of spending the money each time for the dyno. BTW its tuned with an AFC and an AVCR. I do remember the boost dropping quite a bit. so my uestion is the boost controler supposed to correct that. and still run the 16.5 psi even with the top mount or will it not run that much boost now with top mount?
