man i totally feel you on this one. if someone behind you wants to go faster than you in the fast lane, let them go by you! people need to learn that slow drivers belong in the right lanes, and faster ones who want to drive over the speed limit can stay in the left.

however, i wasnt aware that they made beige STi's? is that a new color for 2006?

I usually drive slow in the fast lane, Then speed up real fast when they change lanes to pass.. If you have mo power you'll pass me.

I too agree that slow drivers need to stay in the left lane. Believe me, it's even worse here in Hawaii. (People drive in the left lane and are going 10 mph slower than people in the far right lane)

 

Just get your legislators to make a law like in Germany...you have to be in the right most lane you can be unless you're passing. So noone chills in the left lane because you'll get ticketed, the only time people use it is to pass. Saves a lot of hassle. Combine it with a law that says it's illegal to pass on the right (like in CO), and the problem would be gone.




Unfortunatly laws having to do with vehicles in CA are retarded and I doubt they'll change...

we should pass law like the one in nevada where you the fast lane is only for passing. you get a ticket if your caught hanging out in the #1 lane. i dont think our nation has the intellect to follow the rules of the road like the Germans do. our driving tests are way too easy.

 

I spent 2-3 hours doing this over and over again to some aggressively driven minivan on the I-5 back when I first got my (since STi replaced) M3. Hours of entertainment. They would try and pass on the right between semi's, and every time they made a move, this large truck and I would close the gap between us and block them out, over and over and over. I would have thought they would have learned after a while they wern't getting by.

Note: I wasn't doing this just to be b@stardly, I was going with the normal left lane traffic flow. I just have something against people that think they can pass everyone on the right and force their way in durring such situations.

Why be an *******? Just move over, maybe someone is in a rush, even though they're not driving a car faster than yours for example an EVO. Try and do that to me, I'll stomp your *** real bad in the M5. STi or not. LOL.

 

Be happy you guys aren't in so-cal. Taking 57, at times it's a 5 lane and people still go 60 in ALL lanes... People say traffic is worse in socal... it's not worse it's just more random. I've almost been killed more times by stupid drivers in the month that I've been here than the year 1.5 years I drove in nor cal

 

I don't drive in the fast lane at all because I have a company work truck. I don't pay for gas either and I get paid for drive time. So suck my *****. And I live to **** off idiots by keeping the same speed as the car next to me and not allowing you to pass. I only due this to idiots who **** me off.

 

I argue the I-5 causes people to become complete idiots. Durring the day traffic ends up settling at a speed somewhere around 85 in the fast lane. There is a neverending stream of semi trucks in the slow lane. Now I'm perfectly fine to to move over if I'm in the front of a long line and let people by, or if I'm all alone and someone is comming up fast. On the other hand, if I'm in a cluster of 5,6,7 cars and someone thinks they can fly by the entire line from the right lane, then force their way back in front (usually without even a turnsignal for the lanechange) I'll hold my ground and block them out till the cows come home. I mean on the road, I treat others as they treat me. If they are signaling trying to change lanes or something, I'll let someone in. If someone lets me in, I'll wave. On the other hand if someone is cutting off everyone right and left without so much as a turn signal, I conisder it my duty to hold my ground against them. Maybe I'm crazy but thats my opnion on things.

Even up north in OR and WA. When I was up there it was frickin' crazy!

 

STi-FTW if i had a gun in my car and you did some silly crap like that on me I think i would use it... like seriously tho someday your going to get WAY more then you asked for doing that dumb crap.

this world is crazy id just let them be... in no time there long gone anyways, why bother with others wanting to get around you anyways? that **** is so stupid if you think about it

people need to remember that they aint the freaking police and its NOT there job to correct others and the ****EN road is not theirs.
