Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Are you running an aftermarket flywheel?

Are you tuned?

Does the car recover at any point higher in the rpm after the occurrence at 4k or can you not get there?

Does it always happen? Or only on WOT?

First thing to do is Disconnect battery then clean your maf. A flat spot may have developed. Could be fuel cut. How many miles are on your fuel pump? When was your fuel filter changed? If that doesn't fix it? Take it to a subaru specialist for a data log.

Pretty much everything on the car stock except that has a new 2.0 short block with less than 10,000 miles and same with the trans the trans been updated to a straight cut five-speed and same as the clutch. I am running on a cylinder one miss fire because of the coil pack the plugs were just updated so I know it's not the plugs. And I also know my Turbo seal is going . but as far as the problem it will go up to about four grand that it seems like it's losing boost. but the pressure is consistent at 15 psi.

Could be a clogged cat.
Could be that your coil pack gave out finally. How is the idle? Could be boost leak.

Does it just stay at 4k or does the rpm waver? Can you post a video?
