idle at 500 rpm??

Just to add a note to the discussion, I noticed that after I switched to synthetic oil (Castrol) my idle dropped from 750 to around 500 for a warm engine. It may have been a cooincidence (I switched at 10k miles) with my engine "breaking in" all the way, but the syn oil did seem to slightly improve overall engine performance as well.
