RPM slow to rev downward between shifts (was: RPM Question)

hey guys, i have a question. my impreza has 41k on it right now, and i've noticed that it takes a while coming down in rpm's. i take off in first and the rpm's kinda stay up there (if i shift at 5k it only goes down to like 4.2k if i shift) i was wondering if this is normal because my buddies imprezas' rpm's fall quicker.

appreciate it

flame

i think it is a bit natural...as for me, i've spoken with other sti owners.
i thought i was trippin for a second, seeing my rpm stay up or rise a little bit even after i let off the throttle and the clutch in. i noticed it, my friend who drove it even for a little bit noticed it and another sti guy i met at the meet said the same thing so i just think its our electronic throttle thats doing it...just passing it like its suppose to be normal.
