How come my WRX EGT are so high? pls help.

Here is the mod of my WRX.
Turboxs unichip mapped with stage 1 code.
Apexi AVC-R
Removed intake silencer
EGT mounted at the 'flat point' of the driver side header.
I have constantly hit 840C around 4500rpm at 3rd gear even when I turned my AVC-R off (max ~0.5 bar). Does anybody has the same problem that Ive seen? The EGT is around 450-500 at idle, I assume it's fine right? I have an additional boost guage which show about the same boost level. So, should I remove the unichip??? or my AVC-R??

Ah, You only have to be concerned if you put oil on your air filter, it eventually gets on the MAF... If thats your situation, gently clean off the oil with something.. I used gas...
