g tech..

I was wondering if anyone on this forum uses some sort of g tech unit.. i currently ordered the older model g tech pro for 35 bux.. and the reason i bought the older model was that i only wanted something for cheap that i could practice my 1/4 mile times and practice my launches to get it right.. dont worry though i wont be doing this on the public streets, my uncle on his private property has over 35 acres and he has a 1/2 mile strip of clean surface gravel.. but i did not want to go pay 200 dolars for the SS or the RR... becuase im not loking into needing the specs those come with.. anyways if some people have them just wondering if you could report back and let me know your feedback and if you like them or not!!

Launching is bad in AWD. Don't be surprised if your tranny blows after a bit.

I have the RR, and its a really, really sweet instrument. I havent actually "used" it yet (other than to measure handling G's and the sequential shift lights), but I like the fact that it can record several different runs, then you can download that info to your PC and compare all of your runs side by side to see what you need to work on.

Just make sure when u launch u smell the clutch, if not then ur are going to mess up ur tranny if you do it alot. Every once in awhile ill go to this deserted place and work on my launches/drags and so far the tranny/clutch is ok. *knock on wood*
