That's a good place to start. Try to narrow down your question once you've read up on the subject. You can get an STi i/c for much cheaper than a new aftermarket i/c. It is a little bigger and thus would offer slightly better cooling.

I *think* mmboost was saying he has heard from reputable tuners that STi I/Cs are the best TMIC choice, aftermarket I/Cs do not cool as well. You can also check out the review section for info. Good luck.

Who exactly is a "reputable tuner". Cause seems like the reputable tuners (APS, MRT, TXS, Vishnu) all make their own TMICs. So have they all been decieving us all these years? I don't know, but the proof is in the dyno numbers and the STI tmic does not make as much power. Maybe it has other attributes that make it advantageous.

Only thing I can think of is that the STI tmic can be adapted to fit the STI splitter whereaswith other big TMICs you just kind don't do anything and there are hot spots in the TMIC. Maybe for a track day it'll be better for avoiding heatsoak

I think it's a good $ per HP deal with those turbos.

Also, my bad, he never said anything about its comparison to other companies products. Sorry about that, I remembered wrong.
