what all would have to be done to the front bumper of an 02 wrx so this: http://www.kastleskorner.com/store/p...roducts_id=164 could be installed?

You do have to trim a bit of the bumper to get it to fit. Also you have to trim a bit of the bumper beam too.

There is a lot of cutting to be done to put the MRT front mount on. You can buyt a JDM front bar that is already cut for a front mount, but you still have to cut some off of that too. Also I think if you shop around you could get a better price. I saw someone selling there in the for sale forum.

Lets put it this way, you get into a crash with the hacked USDM bumper beam.. Say good bye to your FMIC, radiator, and cam/timing gears. Yes it's significantly weaker.

say that i got the wings west body kit. would that enable me to install the mrt FMIC without any difficulties? or is there still some cutting and such to do?

I wouldn't mess up the body kit, because the beam is behind all that stuff. If the body kit is mounted in the large lower "grill" you may have to cut away a part of it there. I had a Cwest on mine, and I know it was mounted in there, so I would bet that the Wings west one is too. Taking this to a pro is the best idea, beacuse of the cutting, unless you have a lot of nice cutting tools.
