Had a day in the 60s here today, after a steady drive I had the presence of mind to break out that new infrared thermometer & aim it at the wrapped down pipe. At about 1" away it read 400 deg. F! I am a bit surprised as I could lay my hand on the pipe .. for a couple seconds. And, no, my hand did not get 3rd degree burns .. no burn at all.

Wasn't on the turbo at all for the last couple miles. So I will have to find a place for a more spirited run to measure the d/p temp.
