buy it through summit racing, just ordered it and had it two days later, $13 for 50' roll 2" wide. You'll need a couple rolls easy. p/n DEI 010121

I already ordered the thermal wrap but just curious - what's it cost to get ceramic coating on headers? And are there any places to do it here in the Bay Area?

Not sure myself, I have ceramic coated headers on my chevelle, I still notice quite a bit of heat coming off them, especially on hot summer days. I had no choice but to wrap the header on my wrx, there are too many hoses down there to cook. What's the cost to coat them?

Honestly I really dont know. I have used exhaust wrap on the header pipe of my dirtbike to keep it from burning my pants and really works. Gets hot but not hot enough to where it will burn you.

What I think does happen is that the pipes might corrode a bit from being wrapped. Nonetheless, I just checked and my thermal wraps will be here today and I'll wrap tonight to drop my car off at AutoHQ tomorrow AM. Once everything is in, off to GST on Friday for my tune

I wrapped & coated both my uppipe & downpipe myself. Used VHT Ceramic coating from Kragen. I found all the stuff I needed there, including another roll of DEI wrap after I paid too much to order it online. I keep the ceramic & silicone coatings & the rest of the wrap on hand in case I decide to wrap whatever I add on next.

I think I will go this route too - so you first cleaned the pipe with the prep-all and sponge, tape it, spray the ceramic, wrap it, spray it and bake it, right?
I'll be doing this to my newly purchased headers and my over isn't big enough for them so I'll just have to install it and run the motor.
Thanks dude!!
